What is a holi powder party / festival?
A color party theme allows kids & adults to enjoy dousing each other in beautiful colors while celebrating their own senses of health, happiness and spirit. At some point during your party, Guests will gather together and engage in a color powder “fight.” This basically means they will toss color powder all over one another OR throw the powder in the air to create vibrant clouds of colour.
For more intense colour we recommend to mix it with a little water to use it as paint and smear on body, clothes etc.... This is very effective for photo shoots. A great way to disperse is via a squeeze bottle, we sell these filled or empty in various sizes
The Holi festival originally comes from India and is a celebration to welcome the spring and to banish the evil sprits.
All people are equal on this special day and more importantly, covered in colors from head to toe.
A Holi event is now celebrated worldwide, It's a huge party with thousands of people who come together for a jolly festival. The feeling of unity and equality is most important on this special day.

How does the powder effect my hair / skin?
Don´t worry powders are rinsed out easily in most cases.
Hair: Watch out blondes! As the hair structure of dyed blonde hair is damaged in most cases, it is possible that small Holi powder particles settle into damaged hair.
We recommend to prepare / coat your hair with coconut or olive oil to avoid colored hair.
In case of Holi colored hair you can use anti-dandruff or a deep cleanse shampoo, olive oil with citric acid or aspirin tablets dissolved in water to rinse you hair. We don´t take any responsibility for colored hair caused by our powder.
Skin: Normal soap and water should remove color powder from skin. If you are worried about staining, we recommend applying a moisturizer to skin before the powder party starts

Practical Advice
Wherever you’re planning on celebrating Holi this year, make sure to follow our practical tips, to make the most of the festival.
– Wear clothes which you don’t mind throwing away. Most Gulal powders should wash out easily, however there may be some colour residue, particularly if you’re wearing white.
– Bring a mask. Whilst most festivals use safe, non-toxic powders, you still want to avoid breathing them in. A builder’s mask, which fits over both your nose and mouth, is the best solution.
– If you’re asthmatic, or have respiratory issues, then keep away from the paint throwing. You can still enjoy the fun from a distance, and the paint clouds are most beautiful when viewed from afar.
– If you want to take photos or videos, make sure you keep your phone or camera in a clear plastic bag. The fine powder can easily get into cracks and gaps.
– If you’re driving to the event, make sure you bring lots of plastic bags and bin liners. Have a clean change of clothes, so you can take off your paint-covered clothes straight away, and remember that the dust will also be in your hair, and on your shoes.
– Wet wipes are a godsend at the end of the day!
Holi is for EVERYONE! Kids, adults, grannies, cats and dogs! The spirit and festivities of this holiday is for everyone to enjoy!
In the description of the event, feel free to suggest attendees come wearing white! Their clothes are a blank canvas for the color and the colors look great on everybody!

Dilemma #2 – Boys? Girls? Unisex?
There is an increase awareness these days of not being too labelling when it comes to gender. This has been the case for some time with gender specific toys. In other words, understanding that not all little girls want to be princesses and boys want to be cowboys. Sometimes these roles are reversed and sometimes not.
We have taken this in consideration with the items that go in our pre made up bags
The option for all girl / boy party bags is available
Pre-packed party bags
We have a great selection of pre-filled party bags, to suit all ages and all budgeits.
You can order your party bags and then on the day, simply add some extra treats, if you so wish.

Party bags ideas for girls Birthday parties, Halloween, Christmas and so on, are all times of the year that we want to celebrate. Partying with friends is a great way to mark a birthday and this is certainly true for boys and girls of all ages.Birthday parties are a great way of children learning to socialise and enjoying excitement too. There are many aspects of a birthday party that are exciting and certainly for the guests, receiving a party bag is one of them.
But, in creating girls’ party bags, what should you include? And how can you make your bags fit with the party theme
Dilemma #1 – to have party bags or not?The history and invention of party bags is rather hazy. It seems that it is a modern-day take on an old custom of giving guests gifts or favours when they attended an event. In some ways, it is a delightful tradition that many of us will have grown up with and thus, we continue with our own children. There are some people, however, who feel that the giving of party bags or favours is now too commercialised and thus, is a practice that has lost all finesse.
The decision whether to give out party bags or not is your entirely but we think they make a lovely parting gesture and, with some really nice contents, they can be simply delightful.

We think that the best way of creating party bags is to follow the party theme – but who sets the party theme? You’ve guessed it – your birthday boy or girl. So, if your little girl was a princess party then that is what they shall have!
Party bags ideas perfect for girlsWe have a range of party bags ideas that are generic, but that can also follow a theme. Popular party bag themes include:
This, of course, makes party bags really simple and easy to construct. Choose a party bag that is festooned with their favourite character and then include some bits and bobs that correspond with the theme. There are kinds of things to choose from including branded stationery sets to bubble making kits and more.
A common theme for party bags is animals. What little girl doesn’t love cute puppies or galloping horses? Choose a favourite animal and build your party bags around this theme. Clearly, you won’t be including an actual puppy or a horse but, you can include smaller scale, plastic type items as part of your parting gift to guests.
Again, this a theme that offers all kinds of possibilities from really cute cartoon animal characters to ‘real life’ ones too.
